Deliri, derived from delirium, depicts the fluctuating levels of consciousness often associated with the condition.  Wavering tempo, sudden changes in dynamic, rhythmic, and pitch material are characteristic of the piece, and mimic the disorientation of time, person, and situation experienced by the afflicted. To further exploit the contrast of the familiar and the unknown, the piece emphasizes passages that include a variety of traditional and unconventional techniques for the gayageum.
